La victoria asegur\u00f3 la independencia de Quito y de los territorios que conformaban la Real Audiencia de Quito, que en ese entonces formaban parte de la Gran Colombia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Este hecho es un s\u00edmbolo de valent\u00eda, unidad y decisi\u00f3n por alcanzar la libertad.
